Volunteer Programs

MRCI runs seven volunteer programmes in Madagascar. All of them are based at our Turtle Cove Research Centre on Nosy Komba, in the north-west of the country. Three protect wildlife: marine conservation, sea turtle monitoring and forest conservation. Four support local communities: English teaching, community development, medical assistance and content creation. Most programmes run from 1 to 12 weeks and start from $720 for one week. Marine conservation has a four-week minimum and starts from $2,475. Every programme starts on the first and third Monday of the month. Your fee covers accommodation, three meals a day and field training. You need no previous experience, unless you join the marine programme, which requires a diving qualification.
