Lokobe National Forest is Nosy Be’s last protected primary forest which homes many endemic animal and plant species. This collaboration agreement will allow MRCI volunteers and staff to enter the famous Lokobe forest to collect data and study this enormously important primary forest. The agreement also includes access to the newly established Lokobe Marine Reserve where MRCI marine conservation volunteers will now be able to undertake marine surveys and research.
