Recognized for her dedication, effort and commitment to developing the first non governmental initiated Marine Protected Area in Northern Madagascar. She holds a Honors in Biological Science and has been involved in a number of international marine research projects including projects in the Azores, Caribbean, UK, Mexico and Madagascar. She is a qualified dive master and coral reef research diver.
