During volunteering projects, we had the opportunity to interact with many of the children of Madagascar. They starred with wide eyes and seemed curious about what we were doing around their village.Little did they know that we, too, looked at them with the same curiosity, wondering what their lives were like?In Madagascar, due to economic circumstances, most children are also responsible for working in the rice fields and engaging in other demanding jobs to help contribute to the family income. The brilliance of children doing the unthinkable, such as making their own fire at the tender age of 3, on a boat ride sometimes we seeing young boys fishing along with their Dads.They saw nothing extraordinary about what they were doing because this was everyday life for them.However, witnessing the passion, joy, and determination in these children’s eyes— regardless of how dire their circumstances were—left us with a sense of hope that Madagascar’s future lies in the hands of its children who are already well on their way to leading the nation. #volunteering #madagascarvolunteer, #madagascar #nosybe #nosykomba #ampoagna #mainland ... Fundraising Basketball tournament : Ampang team vs MRCI Volunteers!We would love to thank everyone for your involvement, from donations, participation in the games itself and even those cheering next to the court. We are still debating what was most enjoyable, the basketball game or the BBQ lunch hosted by the locals before the game.All profits from the camp tuck shop, basketball game and local village BBQ will directly go to support the local Nosy Komba girls basketball team, providing them with the necessary funds to participate in the national basketball tournament taking place in the South of Madagascar early September.We are still on the journey to reach the full amount needed for them to participate in this tournament, so please help us get the girls there!
